The Boating Industry Association of Victoria (BIA) has appointed experienced executive and boating enthusiast Robert Coco as its new general manager.
Robert Coco has held senior management roles in publishing, financial services and manufacturing for major Australian and multinational corporations and government agencies.
He is also a keen boatie, active in both sailing and recreational power boating and has enjoyed boating on charted vessels both in Australia and overseas.
He will take up his new position on 3 March.
BIA President Gordon Howlett said Robert was the perfect candidate to represent BIA’s interests and help build stronger government and community ties in the future.
“Robert has a wonderful breadth and depth of experience of business at every level and we are very confident he can represent the Association on every level with members, media, staff, the boating community and government,” he said.
“Much of his career has been devoted to business development, bringing new products to market and expanding businesses in new directions, which equips him exceptionally well for the exciting new directions that lie ahead for the BIA.
