Global Yacht Training is an RYA accredited school which means that this course gives you a formal qualification from the Royal Yachting Association. The Competent Crew Course is designed for beginners and teaches you the basics of sailing.

By the end of the course you should be able to steer, handle sails, keep a lookout and assist in all the day to day routines of sailing a yacht.

The Royal Yachting Association's cruising scheme is a set of qualifications which take you from novice sailor right up to their highest qualification of 'Yachtmaster'.
