Ian is a graphic artist with an extensive sailing career.

He was a member of Expedition Ice Bound 1998 which installed Jim and Yvonne Claypole in Gadget Hut for their year in Antarctica.

Ian has also sailed on 'Spirit of Sydney' in last year's Telstra Sydney to Hobart and with Expedition Reef Bound 1999.
