Powerboat P1 and the Tunisian authorities have moved the date of the P1 Tunisian Grand Prix of the Sea to accommodate those teams hoping to compete in the 2008 Round Britain Offshore Powerboat Race.

Teams planning to race in the Powerboat P1 World Championship and the Round Britain had faced a logistical dilemma; the Tunisian Grand Prix will now take place over the weekend of 11-13 July, three weeks later than originally published.

'We are very pleased that P1 has been able to change the date,' explains Vee Gangavian, owner and throttleman of VoomVoom.com. 'It is no easy thing for a world championship to move its calendar around and shows a great commitment by P1 Management. It is an act of considerable sportsmanship and one which demonstrates P1's understanding of the bigger picture as well as a respect for the sport and its other racing disciplines.'

'To be able to combine the jewels of offshore, the Round Britain with the Cowes-Torquay-Cowes, and compete in the full P1 World Championship campaign is a powerboaters dream. The season cannot come soon enough for VoomVoom.com.'
