The Riviera Group and Azzura Marine expand......

The Riviera Group (TRG) and Iain Murray’s Azzura Marine, situated diagonally across the road from TRG on Waterways Drive, Coomera, have signed a three-year agreement which, according to Riviera CEO Wes Moxey, will assist both companies to grow their business.

Under the agreement, Riviera will have exclusive call on Azzura Marine’s workforce, its production facilities and infrastructure.

First project expected to heavily involve Azzura Marine will be the all-new Riviera 70’ flybridge cruiser.

Other projects will include further development of new models.

Wes Moxey said Riviera had been “experiencing strong growth, both in Australia and through overseas dealer networks.”

“Riviera is in the midst of an expansion program and the new flagship 70’ is a major project that needs the resources and expertise Azzura Marine can offer,” he added.

Moxey said the company was working at full capacity, with an “aggressive” new model program resulting in a new boat every 90 days.

The company released the first model in its Offshore Express range, a 48-footer, at the recent Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.

“A new 38 Open Flybridge will be launched early in 2008 and a new 61’ Enclosed Flybridge will be unveiled at the 2008 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show,” he added.

Sailing legend and Azzura Marine chairman, Iain Murray, said his company had been involved with Riviera on previous developmental projects.

“We certainly look forward to working with the Riviera team on the flagship 70 project,” he said.

Azzura Marine have been involved in some major luxury boat builds from the 100 foot Oscat to the recent Warwick 76 footer.
