ISSA - Cressy and Great Oaks Regatta reports

by Rob Hurd, Tabor Academy on 14 Nov 2007 Over the past three weeks, there were two ISSA regattas in which NESSA sailors competed.

At the end of October, the ISSA Single-handed Championship for the Cressy Trophy was held in Seattle, WA. NESSA has four sailors competing in the Laser division and four in the radial division. Congratulations to Cam Cullman (the Hotchkiss School) who was fourth in the laser class and Eliza Richarts (St George's School) who was ninth in the radial class; they were the top finishers from New England. Last weekend, Southern YC hosted the Great Oaks Regatta. Congratulations to Providence Country Day and Marblehead HS who finished one-two. North Yarmouth Academy and Hingham HS also qualified for the Gold Fleet. PCD also won the Babs and Larry White Trophy for the Outstanding Performance for a First Time Team.
