Lewmar Launches New Wireless Remote Control

by PR on 15 Nov 2007
New Wireless Remote Control for Windlass and Thrusters Lewmar . http://www.lewmar.com
Lewmar has introduced a 3-Button Windlass and 5-Button Windlass & Thruster remote control kit to its deck accessory range this season.

Both controls are operated using wireless technology and are suitable for retrofitting to existing installations wherever a solenoid is installed.

Lewmar's proprietary encryption scheme uses over 16 million individual codes to prevent false triggering from any other device or similar fob. Kits include a receiver(s) that supports up to eight remote key fobs (additional fobs are sold separately). The key fobs float and are waterproof to IP67.

'It's important to move around the boat to gain the best vantage point when docking or moving an anchor,' explains Simon Smith, Lewmar's product manager for windlass. 'These new wireless remote controls allow the owner or crew to operate the windlass or thruster from anywhere on the boat, without restriction.'

Price for a 3-button windlass remote control kit from £128 inc. VAT or €169 (ex VAT). The 5-button kit is priced at £205 inc. VAT or €271 (ex VAT).

Lewmar's new 2008-09 Marine Equipment Guide is now available in six languages. Please contact your local Lewmar distributor or download pages on line at www.lewmar.com.
