Whyte and Mackay celebrate their sponsorship of the Earls Court Boat Show with a special Whisky Cocktail

To celebrate their historic association with the water and their sponsorship of the new Earls Court Boat Show, Whyte and Mackay introduce their delicious cocktail - ‘The Spirit of the Water.’

A classic whisky cocktail elegantly served in an Art Deco martini glass, ‘Spirit of the Water’ is made using Whyte & Mackay’s famous blended Special whisky, double matured to ensure a beautifully balanced taste.

‘Spirit of the Water’ Recipe

Glass: Martini

Garnish: Maraschino cherry with orange twist.

Method: Stir all ingredients with ice and fine strain into a chilled glass
2 shots Whyte & Mackay Special
1 shot Sweet (rosso) Vermouth
4 dashes Angostura aromatic bitters

Whyte & Mackay’s striking new bottle designs, packaging and exciting projects such as this, work hand in hand with its continued commitment to the unwavering quality that the founders’ legacy has bequeathed.

Whyte & Mackay Special whisky is a blend of over 41 specially selected malt and grain whiskies, sourced from the four whisky regions of Scotland. Like all the blended whiskies in the Whyte & Mackay stable, the Special is double matured to develop its fine, elegant and distinguished qualities. The result is a deep and spicy aroma and a taste of honeyed soft fruits.

Whisky is known as the ‘Uisge beatha’ or ‘the water of life’ but W&M also has a ‘special’ connection with the water through its century of exportation from the Glasgow docks and by only using the finest Scottish.

We look forward to seeing you in the Whyte & Mackay bar at the show for a dram or two…
