LDC Racing Sailboats announce the RS Q'BA

by Sail-world.com/uk on 21 Oct 2007
Coming soon to the RS line up – the RS Q’BA RS Sailing http://www.rssailing.com

LDC Racing Sailboats, the UK dinghy manufacturer of a wide range of popular racing and recreational dinghies have announced a new addition to their RS line-up. The new RS Q'BA is intended to bridge the gap between the immensely successful RS Feva XL and its little sister, the RS Tera, pluging another gap in the RS Range.

The design from Paul Handley is intended to provide great handling and good light wind speed, while the wide waterline beam and wide comfortable side decks encourage newcomers to sit within the stable area of the hull, but be super comfortable for the accomplished sailor.

A choice of a furling Sport sail in durable Dacron, or a battened, more powerful Pro sail, in light-weight Mylar, means that the RS Q’BA can be tailored to suit the sailor’s experience and weight, while the optional jib kit can be fitted for double-handed sailing.

The hull is a light, rotomoulded type constructed using the proven Comptec PE³ polyethylene system. This makes it easily car-toppable and with virtually zero maintenance, hassle-free.

As with other recent RS products the Q'BA is intended as an all-round performer. No matter whether the kids want to sail together, Mum wants to teach them, Dad wants to join in the club race or – when Mum and Dad want a well-deserved rest – the kids want to go for a row, the Q’BA is there to cope.

The new Q’BA is at the final stage of development – testing will continue throughout the winter of 2007, before the official launch at the London Boat Show.

More information, including how to book a test sail from November 2007, can be found at www.rssailing.com Production is scheduled to commence in time for Spring 2008 deliveries.
