Danish Master class rounds off the 505 Europeans

by 505 media on 2 Sep 2007
Jorgen Bojsen-Moller & Jacob Bojsen-Moller on their way to winning the 505 European Championships 505 http://www.505sapworldchampionship2009.com/
Going into the final day Jorgen and Jacob Bojsen-Moller held a small advantage over fellow countrymen and current 505 World Champions Jan Saugman and Morten Ramsbeck. By the end of the day the Bojsen-Moller's demonstrated their mastery of the trying conditions with a further race win and were the new 505 European Champions.

The morning at Sopot was sunny and the final race was held in North Westerly, 6-14 knots, and the Bojsen-Moller's demonstrated their mastery of the trying conditions with a further race win, this time from Meike Schomaker and Rainer Gorge (GER) with Saugman/Ramsbeck back in third.

This meant the top two positions overall were unchanged, and Jorgen Bojsen-Moller and Jacob Bojsen-Moller are the new 505 European Champions with Jan Saugman and Morten Ramsbeck runners up. Meike Schomaker's and Rainer Gorge's excellent performance in the last race lifted them to third place overall, a great result for the leading lady helm in the fleet.

The leading Danish teams had consistently demonstrated their mastery of the trying conditions throughout the week, and they were the only two boats not to score a result outside of the top ten.

Third placed after yesterday's racing, Boris Herrmann & Julien Kleiner suffered a late disqualification from their 6th place in yesterday's second race, and placed 8th in today's race which dropped them to 5th overall. Wolfgang Hunger & Holger Jess finished behind them today, but held onto 4th overall.
