The town of Hyères is the first French town to host the Breitling Medcup Circuit. Hyères has played host to numerous prestigious sailing events including Olympic Week, that is regularly held in the waters of this most southerly city in Provence.

The town and its peninsula have 39km of pristine beaches and rocky inlets. The so-called ´City of Palm Trees´ was a favourite summer resort of the rich and the intellectual elite and its charm, climate and wonderful scenery ensure that it remains a tourist destination of choice to this day.
