AquaPalooza, the world’s biggest on-water party on the weekend of 21st July with was held in Sydney simultaneously with 12 other countries in over 120 locations around the world by 30,000 partiers and 10,000 Sea Rays.

Andrew Short Marine hosted a weekend of fun and on-water festivities for their Sea Ray owners and their families, an event sure to feature prominently on the winter boating scene for years to come.

Rodd Island in Sydney Harbour transformed into ‘SeaRay Island’ as the venue especially for the event. Andrew Short said “the highlight of the day was seeing 150 of his customers enjoying winter boating at its best”.

Family activities, a band, model yacht regatta, prizes and an island BBQ were enjoyed by all that attended. Over 30 Sea Rays were anchored around Searay Island whilst everyone enjoyed the days’ festivities.

The party continued back at Andrew Short Marine’s newest location Ferguson’s Marina, The Spit while the Sea Rays berthed there for the night most enjoyed a fabulous dinner at the Marina’s “Plonk! Beach café”

The weekend concluded with a Sunday morning marina BBQ breakfast on the beach before skippers threw their lines and departed for the trip home. After the success of Andrew Short Marine’s first Aquapalooza event on Sydney Harbour and with the new location there is bound to be more Sea Ray’s seen in Sydney waters in the future.
