The dates for Skandia Geelong Week 2008 have been formalised. Australia’s largest sailing event will be staged from Thursday 24th through to Monday 28th January, with the historic Williamstown to Geelong race scheduled for Australia Day Saturday 26th.

In announcing the program Skandia Geelong Week Chairman John Kint said, 'We set records in all of the key indicators earlier this year and the volume of positive feedback has been absolutely overwhelming. Therefore we have made the sensible decision to carbon copy a very successful format'.

The prestigious Audi Series will begin in Melbourne on January 24th and culminate in Geelong on Sunday 27th. The Sydney 38 National Championship and the Bundaberg Rum National Sports Boat Series will be staged exclusively in Geelong over three days commencing on Friday 25th.

All other classes and the shoreside entertainment program will be staged over the Australia Day long weekend beginning on Saturday 26th and finishing on Monday 28th. The dates and format of the Docklands Invitational are yet to be finalised. For more details please visit www.geelongweek.com
