by IBI magazine on 11 Jul 2007
Gulf Craft Inc of the UAE co-sponsored the official launch and awards ceremony of MarineBiz TV — the world's first 24-hour maritime satellite TV channel — at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Dubai last month, furthering its continual support of the region's developing marine market.
'We are proud to be associated with MarineBiz TV as co-sponsor,' said Gulf Craft executive manager Erwin Bamps. 'The TV channel is the first global maritime channel in the world and we firmly believe the channel will be an extremely influential platform to continue expanding the thriving maritime industry in the Middle East.'
'As the region's most prominent yacht manufacturer, Gulf Craft's partnership with the leading UAE-based maritime information source will further help to position the Emirates as an integral maritime hub,' he added.
MarineBiz TV is a free-to-air channel owned by Aries Marine, an Indian company based in Dubai. The launch event was coupled with the MarineBiz TV Video Awards, which saw Gulf Craft present the award for 'Best Maritime Project' to Dubai Maritime City.
