Bavaria Yachts have a policy of continuously upgrading and refining their models and 2007 is no exception.

In the performance cruiser range they have replaced the Bavaria 30 by the Bavaria 31.

J&J Design have done a fantastic job designing a yacht that has the elegant lines and equipment list of a much larger boat, cleverly packed into 9.76m LOA.

The improved interior includes – larger forward cabin and bed; improved chart table design; bigger and better equipped head with wet locker; more opening windows and hatches.

The hull is a new design and the deck layout has been modified to include 2 large hatch windows on the coach roof, 6 winches as standard, a roomy cockpit with long bench seats of 2.2m and a transom hatch with innovative, electronically lowered bathing platform.

The first B31 is due to roll out of the factory in June. IMB is already taking orders.

Length overall 9.76 m
Length hull 9.49m
Beam 3.38m
Draught ~1.87m
Engine Volvo-Penta D1-20, 13.3 kW/18Hp
Cabins / Berths 2 / 4
Mainsail & Genoa ~ 50.1m2

Some thoughts on provisioning for distance sailing
A new perspective on provisioning and time spent at sea One of the great joys of distance racing unfurls the moment that the dock lines are untied. Suddenly, the myriad packing lists that inevitably define most trip-planning efforts become about as relevant as a tax return from eight years ago.
