Darren Williams, Sydney Yachts Director and Factory
Manager announced this week that Sydney Yachts Custom
division has begun construction of a Warwick 66 luxury
cruising yacht, for an Australian owner.
'Over the years, the proving ground for Sydney Yacht's
boats has been the southern ocean.
Our aim has always been to build strong, fast ocean going
yachts that can perform well in any conditions. Boats built
by Australia's Sydney Yachts have now won the Sydney to
Hobart, the Fastnet and the Transpac, three of the toughest
ocean races.
The construction quality and care we build into the Sydney
Yachts is being recognised by sailors worldwide and it's
the long ocean races that prove, again and again that
quality lasts. It is exactly this ocean performance, which
has lead to the Warwick 66 project.
A development of the Warwick 64 performance cruiser Moon
Blue 2, this Warwick 66 will represent a synthesis of high
tech construction and world class interior finish, which
will deliver its owner a truly magnificent yacht. To be
based in Northern Australia and Asia this yacht will
compete in regattas such as the Kings Cup (Thailand) and
Airlie Beach Race week in the Whitsundays.
With a long experience in building quality seagoing yachts,
a world class construction facility with the capacity to
handle yachts up to 100 feet and favourable economic
conditions Sydney Yachts Custom Division is well placed for
growth in the luxury cruiser market'.
