Leading boating industry identity Lee Dillon has accepted a non-executive role on the Board of Riviera, Australia’s largest luxury boat builder.

Wes Moxey, Chief Executive Officer of Riviera, said: 'As well as serving on the Board, Lee will focus on two important developmental areas of our future business strategy. He will chair the Strategy team for our New Product Development department as well as continuing in an advisory role to the company’s R Marine retail network. '

Mr Moxey said that Lee Dillon has long been recognised as a Riviera stalwart.

'Through the 1980s and ‘90s, he built Lee Dillon Marine at Rushcutters Bay in Sydney to become the leading Riviera dealership in the world,' said Mr Moxey.

'Following the Management Buy Out in 2002, Riviera acquired Lee’s dealerships in May 2003 and he joined Riviera to assist in growing the company’s retail network. Although he had to step back from this role in March 2005 due to family circumstances, Lee still remained close to the company in an advisory capacity as well as remaining a shareholder in the Group.

'We are now delighted to welcome Lee to a pivotal role within the company. His depth of knowledge and experience at the forefront of customer service over the past 25 years will provide Riviera with a tremendous edge in the luxury marine marketplace worldwide.'
