Newport Harbor High wins ISSA Nationals

Twenty high school sailing teams from throughout the United States were in Long Beach, CA this past weekend for the Interscholastic Sailing Association (ISSA) National High School Doublehanded Championship and the Mallory Trophy, hosted by the United States Sailing Center.
The regatta was sailed in Vanguard CFJ’s. Local favorite and recent winner, Newport Harbor High School (Newport Beach, CA) beat out second place Point Loma High School (San Diego, CA) by 38 points. Severn School (Severna Park, MD) finished the 36-race regatta in third, over 100 points behind Newport Harbor High.
