Last sunny day for Longtze, welcomed to port by a cheering crowd, all had come to say goodbye to the son of the Dragon. Earlier in the day, Spain celebrated with the rise of their team to the semi-finals in the Louis Vuitton Cup.
China Team finished today its participation in the America's Cup. Defeated by +39 Challenge, Longtze will have a 'bye' (no sailing) tomorrow for the last day of Round Robin 2.
The last to qualify for the Louis Vuitton Cup, El Desafio took advantage of Victory Challenge's defeat against Team New Zealand. The regatta was none- the-less relentless, a long time in the lead, we thought the Swedes might prolong the suspense even further. The Kiwis, who have their eye on first place in the Louis Vuitton, didn't let the Swedes pull any final surprises.
The final classification will be known tomorrow, notably 1st place on the scoreboard, which pits BMW Oracle against Team New Zealand
For Longtze, the defeat against +39 is quickly forgotten. Returning to port, it is the opportunity for the whole team to say goodbye to Valencia. Champagne, autographs, smiles....
