German Team to meet Team Shosholo

by Oliver Laskowsky on 30 Apr 2007
Doing the best in every race in order to win – with this motivation the United Internet Team Germany is starting into another match race of the Round Robin 2 at the Louis Vuitton Cup. Today’s opponent is Team Shosholoza from South Africa. The German team consider a second win in this Louis Vuitton Cup still possible.

Team Shosholoza is ranking on place seven with twelve points in the overall Louis Vuitton ranking table. They lost their first flight yesterday against Victory Challenge from Sweden because they broke their spinnaker pole on the first downwind leg. The German team is still on rank ten with three points in the overall ranking table.

Today looks good for sailing. The breeze is coming from the west with five to seven knots, shifting southeasterly and getting a little bit stronger with eight to ten knots. It stays dry with up to 22 degrees. Start of the race is 2.15 pm.
