Beautiful sunny weather in Valencia again today, but no breeze to speak of, certainly not enough to go racing.
Racing was abandoned again after crews and spectators had waited patiently for more than two hours for the breeze to fill in.
Racing crews are used to waiting for the wind and they’re philosophical about delays.
The crew on Emirates Team New Zealand’s NZL 92 is keen to go racing. Sooner or later they will.
As Spain moves into summer the reliable breeze will return. As the day progresses the land heats, the warm air rises and cooler air flows in from the sea.
The breeze builds progressively as the afternoon progresses.
Tomorrow’s scheduled matches for NZL 92:Desafio Espanol and Shosholoza Challenge. The weather forecast is for a light breeze.
