Pebble Rebel leads TDN Trans-Tasman Yacht race

The Bavaria 46 Pebble Rebel senne here, sailing two-handed at the start of the 2006 HSBC Coastal Classic, is leading the 2007 Tasman Yacht Race Richard Gladwell www.photosport.co.nz
According to the 1830hrs radio sked the Bavaria 46 Pebble Rebel (Bill Byford/Duthie Lidgard) was leading both single and doublehanded divisions in the Taranaki Daily Nerws Solo and Doublehanded Trans Tasman Yacht Race. She has sailed 393nm since the race start on Saturday.

Second on the water was the singlehanded Big Wave Rider, a 14metre Chamberlain catamaran sailed By Bruce Arms from Queensland.

The Farr 1220, Island Girl (Ian Lillie) was third having sailed 298nm.
