Celebrate the Sydney Harbour Bridge's 75th Anniversary on Sunday 18th March, it's going to be a huge day in Sydney's calendar!

Why not grab a viewing spot on the Harbour foreshore to catch the Air and Sea spectacle?

Pack a picnic (or load up your boat) and be entertained by a coordinated Sea and Air Harbour spectacle, including displays of sea craft and fly overs of historic and modern airplanes every hour. Down on the water there will be an array of activities including a sailing regatta, tall ships and the 2007 Classic Ferry and Workboat Challenge.

Join this historic celebration! Get family and friends together, dress your boat and take it out on the Harbour. Toot your horn to signal the start of the day's celebrations - watch for the tiger moths fly over. Then throw the anchor over and enjoy a lazy day watching all the fun. The energy will be amazing!

WATER SPECTACLE

8AM Tribial Warrior/ Deerubbin Vessel under the Bridge
9AM Defence Vessels & Ferries will toot their horns under the Bridge to signal the start of the days celebrations
Tall Ship display including Shirley Smith fire tug, James Craig, Our Suvanen and Endeavour under the Bridge
9-11AM Australian Flag Water Banner Display west of Bridge
920AM Historic Parade incorporating vessels from the 1930s to today under the Bridge
1030AM Surfboat Sprint featuring 20 boats. Starting at Kirribilli Pt & ending with the Bridge as the finish line
11AM Three 1930s Jet Boat replicas on display west of the Bridge
12PM 40 classic ferries and workboats battle it out on Sydney Harbour. Starting at Maritime Museum, under the Bridge, around Fort Denison back to Darling Harbour
1PM Regatta/ Race of historic sailing vessels East of Bridge off Cremorne
1PM Red Beret Six C130 jumpers with flag & smoke flares East of Bridge
7PM Floating smoking ceremony on Tribal Warrior / Deerubbin held under the Bridge

2007 Classic Ferry and Workboat Challenge Midday

Hold your breath as 40 classic ferries and workboats battle it out on Sydney Harbour. Starting at the Maritime Museum, the race travels under the Harbour Bridge, around Fort Denison and back to Cockle Bay. Travel on board, charter your own ferry or watch the action from the foreshore's best viewing spots including Millers Point, Walsh Bay Wharves, Kirribilli, The Sydney Opera House Forecourt, Mrs Macquarie's Chair and Bradfield Park.

Don't forget that the Sydney Harbour Bridge will closed all day to traffic, from 4.30am until 11pm (trains will still be running). There will be many road closures and parking restrictions on the day, visit www.rta.nsw.gov.au or call 132 701 for alternate traffic routes.

Night sailing, encountering light airs in the Transat Paprec, Congressional Cup We bundled up as the last of the rays sunlight dipped below the Olympic Mountains and night quietly fell on Puget Sound. We'd been racing for about twelve hours in the Seattle Yacht Club's Protection Island Race (April 26), and we were getting tired.
