2007 ISAF World Championships - Australian Entries

Expressions of interest asre being called for from Australian athletes wishing to be considered for selection for the 2007 ISAF World Championships to be held in Cascais, Portugal.

ISAF recently announced the number of additional entries each nation would receive for the 2007 ISAF World Championships in Cascais, Portugal in June.
ISAF have indicated that Australia will receive the following entries:

In addition to the above entries, there are a number of Commission entries per class that can be applied for via ISAF. Enclosed is a copy of the letter from ISAF outlining the process for applying for Commission entries.

A policy statement will be published in the next week regarding the selection of athletes for the Australian entries. However we would like to advise that we are calling for expressions of interest from athletes wishing to be considered for selection for this event.

Any athlete who is not a member of the Australian Sailing Team who wishes to be considered for selection for the 2007 ISAF World Championships should:
• send an expression of interest,
• enclose a sailing biography detailing their experience and results, a statement of why they believe they should be selected to attend, and
• provide expression of interest details of any equipment shipping they need to ship to the championships. Please note, YA is not funding and may not coordinate shipping.

Expressions of interest should be sent by e-mail to Katie.Culbert@australiansailingteam.com.au by Monday 12th March. When the statement regarding selection is published next week you will receive this via e-mail also.
