Seawind F18 World titles additional awards

Grandfather Mitch Booth, Masters skipper Mark Laruffa , Women skipper Carolijn Brouwer were amongst the additional winners at the 2007 Seawind F18 World titles Presentation evening on Sunday night at Rydges Resort in Yeppoon Queensland.

The first Masters Skipper, in 15th place overall, from Australia was event coordinator Mark Laruffa, with his crew, Ricky Heasman

The first Masters Crew, in 26th place overall, from Australia was Simon McKeon, of Yellow Pages Speed Record fame crewing for his son, Ollie McKeon

The top ranked All Youth team, and also the crew with the youngest combined age of 31, in 45th place overall, from Victoria were 17 year old Jake Lurati with his 14 year old brother Chase Lurati

The leading Youth Skipper, in 26th place overall, from Australia was Ollie McKeon, with his crew, father Simon McKeon

The first Youth Crew, in fourth place overall, from Britain was Tom Peel, crewing for Hugh Styles

The first Women Skipper, in 7th place overall, from Belgium, Carolijn Brouwer, with her crew Jeroen van Leeuwen

The first All Women's team was Frederique Pheiffer and Francoise Dettling from France.

The first Women’s Crew, in 36th place overall, was American Yngling sailor Carrie Howe sailing with Peter Vink from Holland.

The oldest team with a combined age of 104, in 57th place overall, from Australia, was Richard Brewin and crew Dave Hart

There was an Encouragement award to Natalie and Grant Rogers. They helped organise the event, sailed three races, wrote off their boat, and never got to see the top mark.

The first in the Grandfather Division, in second place overall, was Mitch Booth
