When Emirates Team New Zealand is competing in Spain, thoughts are never far from home. And on the last day of the team’s operation in New Zealand, team supplier Mud House Wines, provided the team with an 18-litre bottle of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc
The company supplies all wine consumed in the sponsor hospitality area at the team’s base in Valencia and on sponsor spectator craft.
Emirates Team New Zealand managing director Grant Dalton says the Mud House wines completes the quality New Zealand experience at the team’s base in Valencia.
'Chefs serve top-quality New Zealand meat, fish and fruit to sponsors’ guests in the hospitality area. And these South Island wines –sauvignon blanc pinot noir, chardonnay, pinot gris and merlot – complement the food.'
'Some very influential people will be coming through the base in coming months and the team takes great pride in providing a very Kiwi feel to their day.'
Baden Ngan Kee, chief executive officer of The Mud House Wine Company, who presented the 18-litre bottle of sauvignon blanc to the team said the brand’s presence in Valencia is a valuable marketing opportunity in Europe.
We will be using this unique and prestigious event to host a number of important customers and distributors from around the world.
'With the support of the team and New Zealand Trade and Enterprise we are able to put our products before some very discerning people in a potentially large, very important market for us.'
Mud House Wines are exported to more than 20 countries around the world. Total annual sales exceed 90,000 cases.
