Simrad and Maritimo SW
Simrad has been appointed an official supplier of marine electronics for Australian long-range cruiser marque Maritimo.
Under the agreement, Simrad’s extensive range of high-end marine electronics – which includes autopilots, chartplotters, radar, sonar, gyrocompasses, GPS receivers, VHF radios and other equipment – will be available for custom fit-out during the construction of every Maritimo luxury cruiser.
Simrad national business development manager Glenn Davidson said the brand’s alliance with one of the world’s most respected manufacturers of long-range cruisers was powerful testament to the quality of Simrad products.
'As Australia’s most awarded boat builder, (Maritimo’s) Bill-Barry Cotter has been instrumental in the design and construction of some of the most highly-regarded vessels that have ever come out of this country,' Mr Davidson said.
'He’s seen the best and worst of thousands of ocean-going vessels – and, no doubt, the best and worst of marine electronics – which makes the Simrad / Maritimo alliance a very significant one.
'Maritimo customers will now not only be purchasing one of the finest luxury cruisers of our time, they have the option to complement it with the world’s most advanced marine electronics for absolute assurance of the best possible boating experience.'
