Primo Cup - Trophée Credit Suisse Open - Final

The first weekend of the Primo Cup - Trophée Credit Suisse opened the International Monohull Racing Season in europe. This weekend the Dragon, Star, J24, Surprise and Laser SB3 raced over four days at the Yacht Club de Monaco.

Michael Cotter, Simon Brien and Davy Gomes of Ireland won the Dragon event at the first weekend of the Primo Cup. Second were Ulli Libor, Stephan Hellriegel and Peter Froeschl from Switzerland.

In the J24 class, Blandine Medecin, Philippe Gavin, Claude and Jean Rodelato, and Denis Delaveau of Moanaco were the winners ahead of the Italian crew of Claudio Buiatti.

The Laser SB3 event was another victory for the Irish. Craig Burllington with Paulia Rice and Colin Galavan taking the title ahead of Mark Rushall, James Baxter, Liz Rushall and Charlotte Savage (GBR).

In the Star class Vasil Gureyev and Volodimir Korotkov (UKR) counting five firsts and a second place. Second place went to the French pair, Regis and Vincent Berenguier with the GBR crew Graham Bailey and George Skuodas third.

The Surprise class attracted the biggest entry with 37 boats. Winner was Olivier Legeret's Sky Sweeper, Philippe Durr second and Alain Marchand third, all from Switzerland.
