Yngling and 49er North American Championships

The North American Championships for Olympic classes continues with the Yngling and 49er classes. Racing is taking place at the Biscayne Bay, Miami, from the 1 to 4 February.

After three days racing, Britain's Sarah Ayton, Sarah Webb and Pippa Wilson top the Yngling event by two points ahead of Silja Lehtinen, Maria Klemetz and Livia Varesmaa (FIN) with Anna Basalkina, Vladislava Ukrantseva and Ekaterina Maximova (RUS).

The racing is very close in this event, eight points covering the top seven teams. The second GBR team, Victoria Rawlinson, Sue Monson and Emma Rawlinson are in ninth place.

After ten races in the 49er class, Morgan Larson and Pete Spaulding (USA) lead, 18 points ahead of Jan Peterand Hannes Peckolt (GER). In third place are Tim Wadlow and Chris Rats (USA).

Britain's only entry, Paul Campbell-James and Mark Asquith are seventh overall, with a best result of second.
