Bettini and Keller lead 29er Worlds

The 29er Worlds headed into their final series in San Isdro, Argentina on Thursday, with four races held in gold and silver fleets in 7-12 knots and intermittent rain. The consistent Pepe Bettini and Matías Keller (ARG) regained the top spot, nine points ahead of rivals Matias Gainza and Federico Vilambrosa (ARG).

Puffy conditions threw the competitors curves on the course, keeping them on their toes. At the end of the day, Bettini and Keller regained the lead with fellow countrymen Gainza and Vilambrosa in second and Gonzalo Pollitzer and Jose Maria Diez (ARG) third. James Ellis and Rob Partridge (GBR) split the top-five domination by the Argentines.

Joel Rose and Jamie Woods (AUS), Mogamat Taariq JACOBS and Neil Christophe Malan (RSA) and Judge Ryan and Hans Henken (USA) add to the Argentinean and British mix currently contesting the gold fleet.

In the silver fleet, Maria Agustina Torre and Franco Greggi (ARG) are tied for first with Emily Dellenbaugh and Briana Provancha (USA). Nathalie Keller and Irina Hotz (SUI) share third with Robby Bisi and Manuel Garcia Diez (ARG).
