European Boat Award Winners -See the Pics

The winners of the 2006/07 European Yacht of the Year awards were announced on the opening night of boot Düsseldorf in Germany last week, and we have already brought the news about the success of Elan and Beneteau in those awards. Now we bring you images of all winners in the different categories.

The awards, which were judged by a panel of senior journalists drawn from 10 of Europe's top yachting magazines, recognise excellence in a range of categories for yachts launched in 2006.

All new models were test sailed over the last 12 months.

In the sailing category, this year's winners were as follows:

Bénéteau received a special award for innovation and development.

The winner up to 10m: Elan 340 —




The winner up to 12m: Salona 37 —




Winner up to 14m: Dehler 44 —



Winner above 15m: X-55 —




Magazines from 10 European countries, including Boote (Germany), Motor Boat and Yachting (UK), Barche a Motore (Italy), Waterkampioen (The Netherlands) and Yate (Spain), nominated possible candidates over the course of 2006 before the panel produced a shortlist of yachts. The final judging took place in November.
