Peters Opal sales at London Boat Show

Peters Opal, Europe's largest distributor of motor and sailing yachts, has announced retail sales in excess of 70 boats at this year's Collins Stewart London Boat Show.

With strong sales across all six brands including Azimut, Rodman and Sealine motor yachts and Bavaria, Legend and Island Packet sailing yachts, Peters Opal is confident in their outlook for 2007. Peters Opal's new model launches, including the Azimut 47, Sealine SC38, Rodman 940 and 1250 Fisher Pro, Legend 50 and Island Packet SP Cruiser motor sailer, boosted sales interest throughout the show.

Brian Peters, Chairman of Peters Opal commented, 'the multi brand strategy we employ is a firm favourite with customers indicated by our 2007 boat show retail sales in excess of 70, the show has attracted loyal customers as well as new city based professionals to our stands, the Collins Stewart title sponsorship of the London Boat Show has increased the target demographic via thier extensive hospitality programme.'

Peters Opal is delighted with the public's reponse to the impressive new Azimut stand, highlighting this luxury brand's emergence in the UK power boat market. The Azimut 62 S received a prestigious 'Motor Boat of the Year Award' winning 'sportscruisers above 45ft'. The Sealine stand boasting 11 models including the new Sealine SC38 covertible sports cruiser with its distinctive skylight in the saloon pulled the crowds.

The new Rodman 1250 Fisher Pro was endorsed by Peter McAuley being awarded the 'Peters Opal Fisherman of the Year Award, 2006' after catching an amazing 350lb Atlantic Blue Fin Tuna single handed.

Peters Opal's yacht division has revelled in the attraction of the new SP Cruiser motor sailer from Island Packet. The Bavaria brand has continued to satisfy the UK boater with renowned boat show deals, while the Legend 50 from Florida has impressed the yachter looking to upgrade to their dream purchase.

Peters Opal also took time to host a number of owner events during the show including a Bavaria, Legend and Island Packet owner association party in the Collins Stewart hospitality suite and running the Sealine Family Day catering to the younger generation with face painting and childrens competitions.

Peters Opal is now gearing up for the Birmingham Boat Caravan and Outdoor Show, running from February 17 - 25, where they will be the largest exhibitor.
