Images of the 29erXX

by Ross Whitburn on 18 Nov 2006 Ross Whitburn sent us these shots of his daughter Chelsea and crew Mat Bancroft sailing the new 29erXX which is being touted as a potential Olympic Womens two handed class.

The class was on show at the 29er World Championships at Weymouth and the New Zealanders took the opportunity to sail the 29erXX which features a 29er hull, but with a taller mast, twin trapezes, masthead spinnaker and bigger sail plan.

A top junior skipper, Chelsea Whitburn was having her first experience of helming from the trapeze when these shots were taken.
