Royal Southampton YC Winter series

The second race of the Royal Southampton Yacht Club’s Winter series was held on Sunday 22 October in rain and a westerly breeze averaging 17 knots with gusts up to 25 knots.
Class 1 IRC saw Paul King’s Prima 38 Serendip take line honours but victory on corrected time went to Tim Octon’s Corby 35 Njos with Serendip in second and third Steve Dyke’s Jeanneau JOD35 Timberland-Aqua Wave IV.
Class 2 IRC saw Steve Sault’s J/80 Hoolinkazan take line honours and victory on corrected time from Jacob Mackenzie’s Evolution 22 Glass Onion with third Richard House’s Laser 28 Wacky Racer III.
Class 3 Club class, saw Ginny Bennett’s Dehler 36cws Ellie take line honours but Ian Morse’s Jeanneau Sunfast 26 Equus took victory on corrected time from Ellie, with Jim Hood’s Contessa 26 Mariabronn third.
In the Multihull Class, first to finish and first on corrected time was Ben Goodland’s Raider 30 Team Eberspacher from Harvey Bowden’s Firebird Orion with third George Burn’s Dragonfly 920 Extreme - Force X.
