Legend 50 to make UK debut at London Boat Show

Peters Opal, Europe’s largest distributor of sailing and motor yachts, will be hosting the UK debut of the Legend 50 at the London Boat Show 2007. This luxurious passage maker, with an easy to sail backstay-less rig is set to be the flagship of the Legend fleet. On the Legend 50, owners can enjoy superior living below decks for extended cruising experiences.

The new Legend 50’s hull is driven by a specially engineered sail plan that achieves maximum efficiency while maintaining the Legend’s trademark of single-handed sail-ability. There is a choice of three headsail options, including a self tacking jib.

All sheets and halyards are led back to the cockpit area with Legend’s famous mainsheet traveller arch, which provides excellent hand holds and support for cockpit canvas. The expansive cockpit is ergonomically designed for comfort and maneuverability with cavernous stowage under the seats and in the transom.

Below decks the Legend 50 offers comfortable accommodation with flexible layout options. Cabins are spacious and sumptuous with a galley including a pantry, offering all the convenience of home as well as being functional at sea.

The headroom in the saloon is a generous 6 feet 9 inches and is flooded with natural light from enlarged deck hatches. The emphasis of this new model is extended cruising comfort.
