The Annapolis Boat Show has come to a close this week followed by demo days where the Seawind 1160 performed very well, despite being only light breeze.

The winds increased slightly however for the judges who were onboard today testing the Seawind 1160, which has been nominated for Boat of the Year for the Cruising World Magazine, and also SAIL magazine's Top Boats for the year. Cruising World and SAIL magazine are America's highest selling yachting magazines who dedicate many expert sailing journalists to provide a thorough evaluation of the new boats available for the season, before nominating and finally awarding the best boats for 2007.

The next stop on the East Coast Tour for the Seawind 1160 is Virginia Beach where demonstrations will commence on October 14. Seawind Catamarans have also been nominated for Business of the Year by the Illawarra Business Chamber which is currently being judged. Seawind won both Business of the Year and Exporter of the Year in 2002.
