Mike Golding's Open 60 sponsored by ECOVER for EDS Atlantic Challenge.

ECOVER, producers of natural cleaning and washing products for household and industrial uses are delighted to announce that they will be sponsoring
Mike Golding's Open 60 yacht in the EDS Atlantic Challenge yacht race.

The yacht was officially named 'ECOVER' at a ceremony held in Southampton, England today (22nd June, 2001).

ECOVER manufacture their products from their Ecological Factory in Belgium. Twenty years of dedicated research and development has enabled ECOVER to produce washing and cleaning products, made from plant based ingredients and minerals, with a performance equal to conventional cleaning products but which do not damage the environment and are safer for the skin.

ECOVER is the fastest growing brand of its' type and the sponsorship of Golding and his crew in the EDS Atlantic Challenge will reinforce the natural link between ECOVER and sailing - harnessing the power of nature to achieve powerful performance.
Organised by Sir Chay Blyth's Challenge Business, The EDS Atlantic Challenge Race is for Open 60 type yachts with between three and five crew on each leg. Starting on 3rd July in St. Malo, France, the race stops in Hamburg and Portsmouth (UK) before racing across The Atlantic to Baltimore. The yachts will then sprint up to Boston before racing back across The Atlantic to finish in St. Malo towards the end of August.
