Day 4 of the 23rd annual Hahn Premium Hamilton Island Race Week, is underway for the Cruising fleets.
Just after 1.00pm the fleet started on a shortened course, heading out of Turtle Bay, towards Perseverance Island before rounding a mark outside Dungurra Island, heading across to Dent Island and then back down Dent Passage to the finish line.
John Clinton's Beneteau 523, Holy Cow! reported a humpback whale and calf mid-course and a securite was issued.
It's a beautiful sunny day, the beeze now around five knots, gusting to seven, as the fleet streams south.
More to follow.
