The Line up for the first repechage heat GBR (1), ROM (2), NZL (3), CHN (4), DEN (5).
All crews safely out of the blocks with no pair showing early as they settle into their race pace. As the crews come through the 500 it looks to be NZL, ROM and then CHN.
At the 1000 NZL look to be covering the fiels with the Romanians just a length behind. As they go to 1500 NZL making a push to make the race safe and now have 2 lengths over the ROM.
At 1500 it is NZL, ROM, DEN.
For the final 500 NZL hold clearwater over the field and it is the race for the other final place between ROM and a fast finishing DEN.
At the Line it is a win for NZL in 7:06.46 with DEN getiing up to beat ROM out of second place.
So NZL will line up in lane five in the final - close to the Kiwi support team!
