Update your skills with Eastsail's new courses

As part of improving and streamlining the delivery of our RYA courses, Eastsail will be combining the Navigation, Seamanship and Day Skipper Completion courses in to one all inclusive 'Dayskipper Shorebased Course' from September 1st 2006. This will coincide with the launch of the RYA’s exciting new Southern Hemisphere course packs and practice charts. It has never been easier to obtain the Day Skipper Shorebased Completion Certificate….some dates for the new course are:

Sundays Sept 3 - Oct 15 2006 - 0930 - 1600
Mondays Sept 11- Dec 11 2006 - 1800 - 2100
Saturdays October 21st - December 2nd 2006 0930 - 1600

5 Day intensive course:
Mon - Fri 16th- 20th Oct 2006 0830 – 1730

Any students currently working through these theory courses should try and finish the Day Skipper Completion subject by Sept 1. With the streamlining of the Day Skipper Shorebased course from September 1st, Eastsail will also be offering an exciting range of new Sailing School packages. With any of these options, you can upgrade to a package after the first course of that package or sign up for the package at the beginning. Either way these new packages provide great value… it has never been easier to get out.

Sails and Ales -
Do you have friends that are envious of your new sailing skills and spring in your step? Then introduce them to the wonderful world of sailing and ask them along for our next Sails and Ales event on June 24.

They will join one of our experienced skippers and participate in the Saturday afternoon student race around the harbour and then feed the tummy with a Dockside sausage sizzle and drinks afterwards. And then if your friend books a sailing course within a week they receive a $15 discount…. it all helps!

Spinnaker Course, why not give it a go -
The next Spinnaker course is July 2. So if you have thought about having a go with the big coloured sail and looking at crewing in this years CYCA Winter series or are heading North for Hamilton Island Race Week then this course gives the ideal preparation. Time 9 - 5pm, Cost $225

Start Yachting and Competent Crew Inshore courses are held each weekend. Student Club Racing is each Saturday afternoon with a 1:30pm check in.

Diesel Engine Maintenance - Covers the basics of maintenance & engine care, July 13, October 7,9am - 5pm.

Radar Course - Introduction to small boat radar, pilotage & nav techniques, July 14, October 8, 9am - 5pm.

Marine Radio Course - Covers the syllabus of the Marine Operators Certificate of Proficiency, July 1, 9 - 5pm and July 6, 6 - 9:30pm

Marine First Aid - 18 Hour course - work placed approved course with marine emphasis. Australian Red Cross exam and certificate. Sept 16,(all day) and 20 and 22 (evenings)

Pittwater Dash - A fun & exciting introduction to life on the ocean waves.

Sat July 1, Aug 12, 11am - 10pm
