Airlie Beach, the next Noosa?

Airlie Beach, on the Great Barrier Reef in north Queensland, is showing signs of becoming the next Noosa as buyers move to take advantage of its close proximity to the Coral Sea, Whitsunday Islands and Abel Point Marina.

Rory O’Brien who has 25 years’ experience as a property development consultant and developer in Australia and the USA spotted this sleepy town in far North Queensland several years ago.

At that time he could see the area’s potential and decided to purchase a prime waterfront site to build the most prestigious development in the township to be named Whisper Bay.

Mr O’Brien says that Whisper Bay’s apartments, villas and penthouses represent excellent value. 'Noosa, on the Sunshine Coast north of Brisbane, is considered one of the most prestigious places in Queensland to buy waterfront properties. Prices can range from $5 million to $8 million. If you look at what you can purchase at Whisper Bay, our superior waterfront apartments and villas represent far greater value for money.

'If you compare a luxury property in Sydney, the difference is even more significant with waterfront prices ranging from $15 million to $25 million. Astute buyers have seen our offering and taken advantage.

'Waterfront land not only in the Whitsunday’s but across the country is becoming scarce and as Councils start to tighten up on environmental issues, buyers need to take advantage of the few waterfront opportunities that are still available. Given this increasing scarcity there is only one way for the prices to go.'

Whisper Bay has captured the attention of many boat lovers with its close proximity to one of the largest marinas in the Southern Hemisphere, Abel Point Marina.

The newly extended state of the art Marina is the crown of Airlie Beach and offers mooring and boating facilities for all sized crafts up to 200 foot Super Yachts.

Whisper Bay has 50 of these marina berths ranging in size from 18 to 30 metres, which are available to purchase exclusively for the Whisper Bay residents.

With marina berths in short supply in the Whitsunday’s and on the Queensland coast in general, the value of a marina berth attached to a Whisper Bay residence is set to substantially increase long term capital growth.

'Whisper Bay will set new standards in luxury tropical living in Australia’s premier sailing playground¸' said Mr O’Brien.

'This prestigious development is the ultimate waterfront location in the Whitsunday’s, and is the last remaining truly deep-water frontage in Airlie Beach. It’s not surprising that the early purchasers read like a Who’s Who of Australia,' he added.

Whisper Bay is designed by internationally renowned architects, Woodhead International.

Woodhead International is one of the leading architectural and design consultancies in Australia and Asia, having won a number of design awards for their tourism and resort projects in Australia and overseas.

The designers have successfully created 104 private and luxurious dwellings set in a magnificent and lush tropical landscaped environment, which embraces the natural beauty of North Queensland.

Due to Woodhead International’s carefully terraced and landscaped design each residence enjoys uninterrupted spectacular views of the Whitsunday Islands and the Coral Sea.

Whisper Bay features a selection of three-bedroom plus study villas and apartments, ranging from $1.5 to $4 million, with most apartments priced from $1.75 to $2.25 million. The opulent penthouses are priced on application.

Whisper Bay also features 40 private pools and two large community pools, security parking and gated entry and exit points.

Whisper Bay is the ultimate in tropical living.
