New Ronstan website gives customers the edge

by Media Services on 27 May 2006
Ronstan launches its new website - www.ronstan.com Ronstan htttp://www.ronstan.com.au
Ronstan’s goal of providing customers with the fastest possible access to its world-class sailing hardware has taken a giant leap forward with the development of its new website.

Customers can still find Ronstan at www.ronstan.com but they should be pleasantly surprised by the fresh changes and more powerful search engine that make choosing tailored products a breeze.

New benefits for customers include:
· Finding Ronstan’s full product catalogue more easily and quickly. The total database system replaces the slower PDF-run site for more efficiency and up-to-date information on ranges and individual products, including dimensions and ratings, features, applications, materials, spare parts and related items. Specific product pages also allow customers to conveniently compare their choice against similar items.

· Having access to full product selection advice. An automated Batten System Selector Guide, for example, takes customers through an easy step-by-step process to determine the right system for their boat. Definitions of various product type options available and schematic diagrams for commonly used hardware help to make getting the right products easy.

· Enjoying peace of mind with customer-related support material to assist with installation, maintenance and operation of products, as well as technical data and specifications.

· The ability to download funky features, including wallpapers and screensavers.

Ronstan’s Marketing and Development Manager Bryn Wellington says the new website reflects customer demands for a faster, easier-to-use online service.
'The new website is based on databases so it’s nice and quick,' he says. 'Customers can see full product ranges so that they can quickly compare the specific details of items. There is definitely more support and technological information on the new site.

'This really simplifies the process of selecting products. When selecting a batten system for instance, customers just put in the details of their boat and what they are looking for, and all the technical information on the items they want comes up almost instantly. The information is always kept up to date, which is part of our aim of providing our customers with the best information possible.

'Our customers had requested the need to get more information faster and this new site delivers.'

The new site has also integrated all of Ronstan’s brands into one compact location, Bryn says.

'The major difference in the new site from the old is that it consolidates our small and big boat businesses under a single site and brand,' he says. 'It caters for everything from dinghies to mega yachts.'

While the new site has incorporated the latest technology for speed and efficiency, the old favourite sections, including news, project gallery and important contact details for our worldwide network of offices and suppliers, are also featured.
