Treleaven’s 'Letters from the Med' Launch

by John Keelty on 25 May 2006
Letters from the Med SW
Tuesday 6th June, 6pm for 6.30 presentations.

CYCA Cruising invites you to a very special evening with the Treleaven’s on Tuesday 6th June when they launch their wonderful book 'Letters from the Med'.

Over three summers Andrea and Ian have travelled over 8000 nm and visited 11 countries on their Beneteau ‘Cadiz’ and during their travels they sent back details of their adventures via regular emails. These wonderful 'Letters from the Med' are now a book in which 'Andrea paints an alluring portrait of the playgrounds of the jet-set, balmy remote coves, amazing history, delicious regional cuisine and more.' The book also includes photos from their collection, Ian’s invaluable tips for yachties and over 25 of Andrea’s yacht friendly recipes from the Med.

We suggest you arrive early and enjoy the Cocktail of the Evening and take the opportunity to purchase your copy of 'Letters from the Med’. Ian and Andrea’s presentation will begin at 6.30pm and they will share their story of how it all started and why; highlights of their 2005 cruise from Croatia to Rome; plans for 2006 and all about their book 'Letters from the Med'.

The official launch of 'Letters from the Med' by Fiona Shultz, CEO of New Holland Publishers, Commodore Geoff Lavis and George Snow will follow, after which it will of course be available to purchase and Andrea and Ian will be available to sign it for you.

After the presentations the Bistro will be serving two great Italian meals prepared especially for the evening.

Attendance at the book launch and presentations is free, all members and their guest are welcome. To ensure sufficient seating we would appreciate if you would register your intention to attend at CYCA reception, either via phone 02 9363 9731 or email reception@cyca.com.au.

If you can't make it to the Launch, Boat Books in Crows Nest features the book in in New Titles section and you can buy it online http://www.boatbooks-aust.com.au/product_info.php?cPath=21_98&pic=Y&products_id=23990&pic=Y
