Azzura Marine Moves Into Superyachts In Newcastle

Azzura Marine Group has leased the old State Dockyard site in Newcastle, and plans to develop a new Australian superyacht facility there, in addition to its existing yards at Nowra south of Sydney and Gold Coast Marine Precinct.
The Group, established and helmed by businessman and yachtsman Iain Murray AM, a former Australian America’s Cup skipper, builds sailboats under the Sydney Yachts and now also Marten Yachts brands at Nowra, and custom Azzura motor and sailboats on the Gold Coast, including unusual 30 m classic cruising boat.
Latest of these, Cambria 11 is on display at Sanctuary Cove Boat Show late May. Other well-known custom vessels include the Jutson 60 Bliss, Wild Joe which won the Admiral’s Cup as Wild Oats X, and the Reichel-Pugh 60 Loki. Custom Azzura motor yachts are available in the 33-44-50 range.
