Northstar 6100i makes European debut

by IBI Magazine on 12 May 2006
Marine electronics distributor CA Clase (UK) has announced the launch of the new Northstar 6100i series of integrated navigation systems in Europe.

Based on the Northstar 6000i, the new device incorporates GPS chartplotting, fishfinding, radar, video and Mercury SmartCraft technology into an advanced networked system powered by Northstar's N2 technology.

Available in five different screen sizes (6.4-inch, 8.4-inch, 10.4-inch, 12-inch and 15-inch formats), Northstar 6100i supports all cartography products from Navionics, including its award-winning Platinum charts.

'The 6100i is the only device on the market that displays Navionics Platinum charts in full-screen VGA mode,' says CA Clase. 'With greater resolution than other Platinum-compatible products, the 6100i displays the cartography clearer and with more detail than previously possible. Unique features provide navigators the ability to seamlessly move across multiple 3D chart tiles and regions without GPS input.'

Standard features on the Northstar 6100i include zoom and scroll, a new one-touch numeric keystroke PowerZoom feature, one-touch brightness and contrast controls, menu bar navigation aids, hide and show onscreen menus and more.

For more information, contact CA Clase on Tel 44 (0)1420 488422 or visit the Northstar website at www.northstarnav.com.
