The German yacht builder Bavaria is now the second largest production yacht manufacturer in the world. Its remarkable production facility in Giebelstadt in southern Germany will manufacture 4,000 boats between 27 and 50 feet this year of which 3,300 will be sailing yachts and the balance powerboats.

Now the Australian distributor North South Yachting Australia has announced the arrival of the Bavaria 50 Cruiser. With the arrival of the Bavaria 50 North South Yachting Australia is importing the entire cruising range from 30 to 50 feet. The full model range run from the Bavaria Cruiser 30 up in steps with the 33's,37's,39's,42's,46's to the 50.

As people have come to expect, the Bavaria 50 comes with a very high standard specification. This includes such items as tri-data (speed, distance, and depth), wind instrument, VHF radio, CD stereo, hot pressure water, 240v shore power, two 12v refrigerators, electric anchor windlass and an upgraded saloon upholstery selection and an extensive list of options

Down below there is a large navigation area, fully equipped galley with two fridges and a large saloon which comfortably seats ten people. There is a huge amount of storage throughout the interior of the yacht plus storage lockers in the cockpit and on the foredeck. Space to mount a generator is also provided aft of the engine compartment. The selection of options available both from the factory and locally allow a high degree of individuality all at typically competitive prices from a volume producer such as Bavaria.

The Bavaria 50 is available in either a four or a five cabin layout and she has all the features of the new range including hull windows and skylights plus the very popular lighter mahogany interior. The beam is carried further aft providing more interior volume and improving the running and reaching performance. The teak lined cockpit is equipped with a standard cockpit table with an in-built esky and a recess for the spray dodger which provides a clear view forward when stowed.

North South Yachting will be holding open days on the 17th and 18th of June at the Quays Marina in Church Point. The Bavaria 50 will be among the boats on display. It will also be on display at the Sydney International Boat Show in August.

If you would like to inspect the new Bavaria 50 on her arrival please contact the team at North South Yachting Australia on 02 9998 9600.

The Bavaria 33, 37,39 and 42 Cruisers will be on display at Sanctuary Cove International Boat show in Queensland next week.
