B&Q reaches Tumpai, now heading for Terengganu

by Team Ellen on 7 May 2006 B&Q crossed the finish line for Leg 9 off the coast of Thailand at 02:18:44 GMT this morning (07/05/06), to complete leg 9 from Nha Trang (Vietnam) to Tumpai (Thailand) establishing a new record time of 2 days, 17 hours, 55 minutes and 13 secs.

Once across the line it was straight onto the next leg, a short sprint to Terengganu, Malaysia, where they will finish for the penultimate stopover on the circuit. B&Q have now gybed onto a direct course for Terengganu and our sailing in 12+ knots of boatspeed, if conditions hold their ETA could be this afternoon (07/05/06).
