New Barlo Plastics3 to be christened
The brand new IMX-40, Barlo Plastics3, the newest addition to the Barlo Plastics sailing teams (including Barlo Plastics1 IC45 and the Barlo Plastics2 Laser 28) will be
christened on the 21st of April, Antwerp, Belgium.
The Barlo Plastics3 IMX-40 team’s core sailors had enormous success in 2000, collectively winning more than 20 events in Belgium and Holland. The team has reunited this year in a brand new IMX-40 and promise to be one of the most competitive forces on the 2001 European racing scene. The team, ranging in age from 16 to 47, is
coached by Marc Van De Wauwer, and includes one of Belgium’s most talented sailors, André Nelis, new young stars Bert Leduc, Jan Persoons, Niels Greven, as well as
up and coming Belgium and Dutch racers.
Skipper Eddy Verbinnen said, “We are a young and dynamic team with a hunger to win; this, coupled with Marc’s expert coaching and the support of Barlo Plastics, is
sure to give both amateur and professional sailors some real competition.”
