Easter at Sail-World

Races and regattas everywhere over Easter, Gladstone, Hinchinbrook, Port Fairy and Palma.

We will be providing detailed coverage of the Easter racing, so check in regularly. Note too the Audi Regatta will on Channel 9 on Saturday.

BTW - Lots of sailors are logging on to www.sail-world.com/newstext via their mobile phones. Modelled on the BBC phone friendly text site, it's only 8k per page.

Lots more news; the Volvo, Clipper news and Ellen on her Asian sojourn, as well as another gutsy Brit, Dee Caffari who is struggling north up the Atlantic.

Bundy is reporting progress from the Princess Sophia regatta; we have the results from the Flying Dutchman Worlds.

A good story from Ed Gorman on Qingdao and the next Olympics.

However our favourite story of the week comes from the ORCV in Melbourne, who are breaking some new ground in the preparations for the Melbourne to Vanuatu and Port Vila to Mackay Races. Make sure you read - Sewing and Suturing.

The CYCA's ever popular BMW Winter series is starting at Easter too. Its one of the most fun events on the Sydney sailing scene, but there is lots of serious racing too. Come August form guide time, the BMW Winter series starting times provide a great guide to 'who is hot and who is not'.

Andrea Francolini will be out on the water as usual for the winter series. Today we feature one of his pix from the 2005 series.
