Azzura Marine announce Darren Williams resignation

by Media Services on 10 Apr 2006
Azzura Marine today announced the resignation of Darren Williams from his position as Business Development Manager at Sydney Yachts.

Darren Williams played an integral role in the success of Sydney Yachts as General Manager. He joined the company in 1998 and is proud of the achievements made so far. 'It has been an honour to be involved with Sydney Yachts over the years and watch it become Australia’s largest manufacturer of quality racing yachts' said Darren Williams. 'I have met many wonderful people and forged some great friendships, which will remain with me well into the future. I wish Iain and the team at Azzura Marine all the best in their future marine interests.'

Iain Murray commented, 'It is unfortunate that Darren ('Baz') has decided to explore other challenges and opportunities. We have enjoyed many successes over the years together with the Sydney Yachts team and I thank him for his support and personal contribution. On behalf of all our team, I would like to wish Darren every success in the future.'

Darren Williams will remain with the company for a short period to uphold commitments made overseas prior to his resignation. He has not yet announced his plans for the future. 'In the short term I will remain at Azzura Marine to support them in this transition period until my departure to ensure the good relationship we have with our owners and agents in Europe remains.'
